Awen Dodd

Hi, I’m Awen and have been working as a Local Asset Coordinator with Medrwn Môn since 2019, supporting people of all ages across the Aethwy, Seiriol, and more recently the Lligwy Ward. I’m dedicated to helping people connect with local activities, groups, and services that improve their well-being and bring communities closer together. For me, it’s all about a person-centred approach - making sure individuals and their families have a say in the support they receive, tailored to what they need and want.

My recent successes within my role include helping set up a bereavement café and a support group for people with vision loss, both of which have become valuable resources for people in the community.

My passion for supporting children and families began early, through experiences working in primary schools and volunteering at a children’s hospice. These opportunities taught me the importance of listening, showing empathy, and fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and included. I am excited about the journey ahead with our project and look forward to collaborating with a range of services to help build strong, resilient communities.
